This October, our very own Dr. Rachael Rush was honored as the Keynote Speaker for WVU’s Van Liere and WV IDeA Research Conference! Rachael is an alum of the WVU School of Medicine where she received her Ph.D. in Immunology and Microbial Pathogenesis. She returned to her alma mater to share her experiences over the course of her academic and professional career with a talk entitled, “From Bacteriophages to Bunyaviruses: My Journey Through Science.” Rachael enjoyed a full-circle moment as her incredible research here at Pitt with the Hartman Lab brought her back to WVU to be recognized for her hard work and dedication to the field! Congratulations, Dr. Rush!
